Boot Camp

The most important thing that I've learned in Boot Camp was the "they say" component in an essay. This is important because the writer needs to use support in their essay that either supports their opinion or even be in opposition. The writer should be able to address the naysayer. This will provide the essay with logos. It is very important in a paper to have support in the essay and most importantly address the other side. This will keep people interested in reading the essay. Once again, I believe the "they say" component is important because it covers the foundation of the rest of the essay. Little changes can be made, but the main issue components of the essay are already there. Finally, in an essay that is argumentative, the "they say" is critical because if the reader disagrees with the author's opinion then they will not want to read the essay.

About Me

My name is Michelle. I am from Issaquah, Washington. I am a freshman and am planning on majoring in Civil Engineering. I am very athletic and love to workout. I run cross country and track in high school and miss these sports dearly. The things i am most interested in is going on long runs, hanging out with friends, going on new adventures, and always wanting to have a good time. My writing is not the best due to the fact that English is my least favorite subject. I am definitely a math and science type of person. I hope to graduate WSU within the next five years since becoming an engineer has a lot of requirements that need to be fulfilled before graduating. However, as much as I love WSU, I am looking forward to the summer and seeing all my close friends and family.
